Sandy beaches and natural attractions

With a diverse selection of experiences and adventures at Dorado Beach Resort, you’ll return from your Puerto Rican, Caribbean vacation with a lifetime of stories and count the days until you can return again.

Breathtaking natural attractions – from a sun-splashed beach and an ancient old-growth forest to a sunken coral garden – make every moment an opportunity for new and exciting adventures. Sneak off to an open-air spa perched among the treetops. Join a pick-up game on the basketball court or play some sand volleyball. Hike the historic 11-mile Rockefeller Trail or just drop your towel down on the beach and do absolutely nothing at all.

At Dorado Beach Resort, the choice is entirely yours.

The Watermill

Inspired by a traditional, Puerto Rican sugar mill, this $12 million aquatic playground features two, 30-foot water slides, a lazy river channel with wave machine, several pools for adults, kids and toddlers and The Watermill Grill.

Rockefeller Nature T...

Originally conceived by Laurance Rockefeller in the 1950s to be a pristine sanctuary extending from land to sea, this historic, 11-mile trail offers the opportunity for self-guided eco tours to reconnect with nature and explore Dorado Beach’s natural wonders on foot, by bicycle or with a golf cart.

Ambassadors of the E...

Designed by renowned French explorer and environmentalist, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Ambassadors of the Environment introduces adults, families and children to the natural wonders and rich, cultural traditions of Puerto Rico, both on land and in the sea.

Visitors explore coral reefs and wetlands and learn more about a diversity of birds and traditional Taino culture through exciting and memorable adventures and activities, such as snorkeling, kayaking, kite boarding, hiking and exploring an archaeological site directly on the property.

The tennis area located at the Dorado Beach Fitness and Wellness Center features four Deco Turf Courts. Tennis instructions in private, semi-private and group lessons – as well as in clinics for beginner, intermediate, advanced and tournament players – are offered daily by PTR- certified professionals.

The Fist_Art FOUNDATION promotes, educates and fosters greater understanding of contemporary art and its relationship with nature through a range of public art projects, community-based programs and educational initiatives. Overlooking the grounds of Dorado Beach Resort, Fist_Art’s artwork and educational programs examine our changing relationship to nature while offering a renewed understanding of our surrounding environment. Throughout the year, Fist_Art hosts exhibitions and conferences, where artists lead presentations for the benefit of all spectators and the enrichment of contemporary art.
